After Teasing "Sweet Candy" & "Tantrum", LordSun Delivers With Stellar Project, "MELT"

For those previously unfamiliar with 21 year old LordSun (born Ahkin Tellez; resident of the globally recognizable San Fernando Valley, California) his music draws from influences from artists such as Porter Robinson, Illenium, & Marshmello as it is reminiscent of the soundtracks of games like Animal Crossing or Wii Sports and unmentionable numbers of fantastic Anime. Able to blend between the two distinct influences effortlessly, his music feels just as at home on Toonami as it does at ULTRA Tokyo, neither of which should be counted out of his future.

An early track on MELT, "Be My Friend", manages to channel chiptune in way that is very reminiscent of early ANAMANAGUCHI, to very strong results - with its video-game sounds giving way to powerful synths and subs. Future Bass and Nightcore collide on "City Sensations", with it being easy to see an artist like Ducky or Nadus including this jam in their sets. On "Horizon", one can easily imagine this record being the soundtrack to a sunrise within the world of TRON : Legacy to which Daft Punk contributed the original score to. Despite being released sooner than the rest of the EP, both tracks "Sweet Candy" & "Tantrum" hold nothing back, packing a sweet intense sound distinctly LordSun's. With interlude "Memories We Shared", the final track on the record, he sends us off the same way your favorite Anime does, with happiness for the journey you have been on, but sadness that it is finally concluded.

I want to thank everyone who’s ever supported my music and what i do, honestly it means the world to me that I can influence people in the way I do with my music
— LordSun a.k.a. Ahkin Tellez
